Ferrari enhances aftersales and warranty offer

Datum:

Ferrari is extending its maintenance and warranty packages, providing buyers with up to 15 years’ cover.

Changes to the supercar brand’s aftersales offer are said to provide “complete peace of mind”.

UK Ferrari owners can now extend their factory warranty from four years to seven, a period matching the car maker’s inclusive maintenance plan.

The company also offers a separate, complimentary programme to the extended the warranty from year four (UK only) to year 15 of ownership. Called Power15, it covers engine, gearbox, transmission and all other major mechanical and electronic components.

Power15 merges two previous programmes to provide enhanced cover for cars right up to year 15. The extension option can be purchased by the owner of the car at any time for both new and pre-owned Ferraris, and is also transferable to subsequent owners.

Ferrari’s seven-year scheduled maintenance programme can now be extended from year eight right up to year 15. Called Power15 & Maintenance, it is combined with the Power15 warranty programme to provide complete care.

Both Power15 and Power15 & Maintenance can be renewed on an annual basis and offers  servicing every 12,400 miles or once a year, with no mileage limitations.

A further extension, to cover cars over 10 years of age, has also been introduced. The Ferrari Premium certification programme includes a package of scheduled replacements of parts that are most subject to wear and tear with improved alternatives, along with certification of the car’s condition.

The changes apply to all Ferrari’s series-production cars. For limited-edition models, such as the 2013 LaFerrari and 2016 LaFerrari Aperta, LaFerrari Power provides an additional two-year cover that can be activated at any official Ferrari dealership and extends the car’s factory warranty. LaFerrari Power also includes annual scheduled maintenance during which the car will undergo in-depth inspection by Maranello-trained technicians to guarantee that it is in perfect working order.

This series of modifications to Ferrari’s aftersales programmes is flanked by two improvements to  Ferrari Approved, the brand’s certification programme for pre-owned Ferraris.

A complete redesign of the online platform enhances the search experience and allows buyers to view the revised technical checks each car must undergo to achieve Approved certification.

The new checklist spans 201 items and includes checks specific to the latest models to be included in the programme. Each technical inspection includes testing of the functioning of the running gear and electrics, check of fluid levels, checks of the suspension, brakes, cooling system, steering, air conditioning, instrumentation and safety systems, lights, wheels and tyres.

Ferrari’s UK retail network has seen a significant amount of investment from franchisees in recent months as the brand prepares for electrification and the launch of its first SUV, the Purosangue.

Among the latest developments was JCT600’s new £9 million Ferrari dealership in Leeds.

Carrs Ferrari also opened a new, purpose-built Ferrari dealership in Exeter, terug in januari.

Last December, meanwhile, Sytner Group began trading from Ferrari’s first new UK franchise point for 15 years ahead of the now imminent opening of a new Glasgow showroom.
