We don’t know the ratings – but notorious FIFA leaker @FutSheriff has supposedly revealed the 11 on Twitter.
The 11 makes a lot more sense than the FIFPro XI we saw earlier in the week, with EA making the 4-3-3 formation compulsory for voters.

Perhaps it’s slightly surprising to see Kylian Mbappe in the side ahead of Mohamed Salah or Erling Haaland – but given how destructive the Frenchman is in Ultimate Team – we can see why the public voted for him.
TOTY vote closes
The voting period for Team of the Year in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has finished, which means EA will now be locking in the players for this year’s event.
With the votes being counted, the official TOTY stars for 2021 will surely be announced sooner rather than later and hopefully arrive in packs too.

The Team of the Year is exactly what it says on the tin, the best performing XI of the past year.
Expect it to include a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers, but not necessarily conforming to their positions.

It will probably also have a 12e man inclusion, which was picked up by Lionel Messi vorig jaar.

When will TOTY start?
Zoals verwacht, de Team of the Year will come to the game in mid-January.

This suggests that the first Team of the Year cards will arrive in packs on vrijdag 21 januari, with the official reveal coming on Thursday, 20 January at 10:30am ET / 3:30pm GMT as confirmed by the legend that is David Beckham.
Attacking Threat
EA pushed a FIFA 22 TOTY loading screen live early in-game, and as a result, we had the full list of Attacker Nominees earlier than expected this year.

The usual suspects are involved, with PSG trio Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar all in contention.

Last year we saw 19 midfielders nominated for a spot in FIFA 21 Team of the Year, with Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes, and Joshua Kimmich occupying the three spots in the final XI.
As expected, three Chelsea stars feature with N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and Mason Mount nominated for this year’s XI.

English youngsters Phil Foden, Declan Rice, and Jude Bellingham also populate the list although they will be hard pushed to make the final cut.

Defensieve dynamo's
There are no less than four English defenders nominated for Team of the Year in FIFA 22, although none of them are centre-backs…
Kyle Walker, Luke Shaw, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are joined by Newcastle new boy Kieran Trippier on the shortlist.
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger could be incredible if he makes it into the final XI and we would love to see this happen.

Superstoppers
Seven goalkeepers have been nominated for this year’s Team of the Year, with Italian giant Gianluigi Donnarumma our favourite for the number one spot.
FUT favourite Mike Maignan is also on the list, and the FUT community certainly could sway the votes in his favour!
