NIP crack top 3 ranking for the first time in 5 years

With their stellar performance at IEM Fall EU, NIP have seen themselves climb into the top 3 in the world rankings, displacing Vitality. It is the first time in almost five years that the organization finds itself at such heady heights, having last appeared at No. 3 shortly after an IEM Oakland 2016 victory.

Their rise comes off the back of an 11 game winning streak for Hampus “hampus” Poser and co., which culminated in their victory over ENCE in the race to the IEM Fall EU title, the organisation’s first notable event win since the 2018 FACEIT Europe Minor.

NIP crack top 3 ranking for the first time in 5 years

The arrival of device has inspired NIP to their highest ranking in years

During this run of form they have beaten their closest rivals for a top-five ranking, both G2 and Vitality, in best-of-three series, solidifying their claim to being the third best team in the world right now.

NIP will next be in action on October 20 in the Battle of Betway event, alongside teams such as G2 and BIG, which will feature a map pool including Train, Tuscan, Cache, Cobblestone and Inferno. After that, it will be all about the team’s preparation for the PGL Major Stockholm, where NIP will play from the second stage on as one of the Legends teams.
