NIP will be joining the BLAST servers without their coach Björn “THREAT” Pers, who was left off the team sheet due to “unforeseen personal circumstances”. Instead of the 33-year-old Swede, Hampus “hampus” Poser and co. will be having the team’s Chief Operating Officer Jonas Gundersen assisting in the matches during the group stage.
THREAT‘s omission was described as a temporary situation by the organization, with the coach set to return to his position for the following events. Even at BLAST, THREAT will be helping the team as much as possible as they are set to clash with the likes of BIG and G2.
THREAT will still be working with the team during the event
“Due to some short-term unforeseen personal circumstances, potentially making me unavailable for the games, we thought it was better that we had a coach registered that we knew could be with the team, and let Jonas [Gundersen] do it instead for BLAST Groups,” THREAT said in a statement to HLTV.org. “I am still there 100% working with the team, and hope to be there for the games as well, although not on the server!”
