New Zealand’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted permission for ExecuJet MRO to maintain aircraft in the country.

The Part 145 approval covers facilities in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and will initially cover Dassault Falcon 2000EX series aircraft, Embraer Phenom 100 and Bombardier Challenger 604.

Grant Ingall, the business’ regional VP of Australasia, said, “With the backing of the established Australian bases, ExecuJet’s entry into the New Zealand market will provide a solid platform for maintenance support across many aircraft types to help promote further growth.

“Once international air restrictions are eased, we anticipate there will be more business jets from overseas passing through New Zealand again because the country is world-renowned as an exclusive travel destination.”

In 2019, Dassault Aviation bought business aviation company ExecuJet’s worldwide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations.

The deal comprised ExecuJet’s MRO facilities in 42 countries across Asia-Pacific, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa.

ExecuJet is part of Switzerland-headquartered Luxaviation Group, which bought the company in 2015.
