New Silvanus skin bundle adds unique looks for Vandal, Phantom

Prepare your wallets! New Valorant skins are dropping soon.

Riot Games has actively been delivering rip-roaring skins for Valorant weapons, but this new addition is in a league of its own. The serene yet spooky skin bundle has a novel theme that was earlier spotted in Winter Wunderland, released in Christmas holiday patch.

The new skin bundle dubbed “Silvanus” will likely arrive before the upcoming map Breeze, currently being teased around Valorant’s existing locations. The bundle doesn’t exactly resonate with the map’s summer beach theme, instead hearkening to a haunted house.

The bundle looks quite similar to Winter Wunderland, Nebula, and Horizon skin line that featured a glass-like exterior, reflecting scenic images. Silvanus has a mysterious forest vibe plastered on the body with bluish nighttime hues flowing like water on top of forest art. While most players favor extravagant skin designs like Glitchpop or Elderflame, these glassy skins are equally appreciated by fans of minimalist weapon cosmetics.

New Valorant skins have a spooky forest theme

The developer has recently launched the Magepunk and Infantry skin bundle, but players wanted cosmetics for primary rifles like Vandal and Phantom. The Silvanus skin line will likely be a more popular skin bundle as it features skins for two of the most-used weapons in the game.

Silvanus skins will be available for:

  • Vandal
  • Phantom
  • Sheriff
  • Operator
  • Stinger

Since Silvanus doesn’t feature a skin for a knife or a melee, it will likely be released in the Deluxe tier, which should be good news for players. The Deluxe skin collections are easier on the pockets as players can get them for $49 worth of Valorant points. The entire bundle should be available in-store for the standard price of 4,750 Valorant points, which means one skin should cost 1,275 VP. Like Winter Wunderland, the skins may not be upgradeable or have fancy skin variants and animation upgrades.

The skins will be available to buy for all Valorant players shortly after Magepunk rotates out.

What’s the most expensive skin bundle in Valorant?

Valorant has stacks of skin, and their prices depend on the class or tier they are released in. Elderflame was unveiled as the first Ultra-edition skin and had a high price tag of $95, which translates to 9,900 Valorant points. The pricy bundle is undoubtedly worth the money for the fierce, dragon-like exterior, unique animations, and a fiery melee weapon.

MSI 2021: Rumble stage scores and standings

Riot introduced a new format for this year’s Mid-Season Invitational, giving League of Legends teams more of an incentive to perform on the international stage by scrapping the tedious play-ins and adding a bonus prize for the winner.

There’s the group stage, which involved 11 teams from 11 regions and included a quadruple round-robin in Group A and best-of-one double round-robin in Groups B and C. And then there’s the rumble and knockout stage.

In the rumble stage, the two top teams from each group will play another best-of-one double round-robin to decide which four teams make it to the knockout stage, where they’ll play a pair of best-of-five matches to crown the champion of MSI 2021.

Here are the scores, standings, and results for the rumble stage at MSI 2021.

Blizzard lowers cost of cloning a character in WoW Classic

After “careful consideration,” Blizzard has decided to lower the cost of cloning a character in World of Warcraft Classic to $15, the developer revealed today.

Beginning May 18 with the launch of the Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch, players will have to choose whether to progress their characters to TBC, which comes out on June 1, or continue to play WoW Classic content on a new 1-60 “Classic Era” realm.

The service provides players with a second copy of a character in an earlier version of the game. Blizzard’s “concept” of the value of this service was “largely based” on how the developer prices other optional items and services. The original price to use this character closing service was $35 per character.

But after backlash from the community with big names like Asmongold speaking out about the paid service, describing it as “milking” players out of their money, Blizzard has had to rethink its strategy.

“A lower price will likely still accomplish our goals with the new service, while allowing many more players to explore the option of players characters on both Classic Era and Burning Crusade Classic realms,” Blizzard said.

The TBC pre-patch is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, May 18. It will introduce the Blood Elf race to the Horde and Draenei to the Alliance as well as a paid level 58 boost leading up to the grand opening of the Dark Portal on June 1.
