NSF Luminox NEW Release

The Navy SEAL Foundation is excited to announce a new collaborative timepiece by their Official Partner, Luminox.

In 1992, a Navy SEAL named Nick North was given a unique mission: Cut through the darkness. The SEALs needed a watch that was tough enough to withstand the most brutal conditions on earth while also being designed in a way that allowed them to be used on night missions in the darkest corners of enemy territory. His search led him to Luminox, and a partnership with the world’s most elite fighters was born. Now, Luminox is proud to partner with an organization shining a light on the issues facing veterans and their families. Luminox has been a long-time partner and supporter of the Navy SEALs and has deepened this relationship as an Official Partner of the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF). The partnership includes collaborative & limited-edition timepieces, sponsoring various athletic & fundraising events supporting the NSF, and gifting watches to winners, donors, and influencers to spread awareness for the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) community and its families.

The newest timepiece released by Luminox as part of the Official Partnership with the Foundation is the Navy SEAL 4221.BO.NSF.SET Series. It is designed from Luminox’s 4200 ANU (Authorized Navy Use) series in collaboration with input from NSF. In World War II, during the era of Frogmen and beach landings under fire, if a piece of diving gear wasn’t on the ANU list, it was not used. In the early 1960s, these Frogmen evolved into the most elite maritime commandos – the U.S. Navy SEALs.

The designation of “ANU” for equipment gave Frogmen a sense of security that their gear would work when needed. It is with this same intent that the new 4421.BO.NSF SET was developed, and the effort has resulted in a timepiece that functions perfectly in any environment, having performed under the toughest conditions and in the harshest environments.

The 4221.BO.NSF.SET features a blacked-out color palette, which provides a tactical look that operators can wear, a detail that was requested by the Navy SEAL Foundation team. The dial, strap, case, crown, and indices are all tone-on-tone black, and the dial features a monochrome Luminox Logo. The watch is constructed from stainless steel and features Luminox’s Light Technology, making sure that the timepiece is visible in any light conditions for up to 25 years. The watch features a wooden collector’s box with a secondary nylon NATO strap and is available online and at select retailers. To learn more, please visit luminox.com.
