Moulin Rouge! The Musical star Alinta Chidzey plays the lead role of Satine in the multi-award winning production based on Baz Luhrmann’s film.
Actor Nicole Kidman portrayed Satine in the Moulin Rouge movie.
The musical was on in Melbourne earlier this year and will return to the Regent Theatre in August next year, after its Sydney season closes.

Chidzey has appeared in several musicals including Chicago, West Side Story and opposite Hugh Jackman in his Broadway to Oz tour, plus the television shows Wentworth, Winners & Losers, The Dr Blake Mysteries and Neighbours.

FIRST HOME
My first home was in Sydney. The first professional show I did was the Mamma Mia! musical.
I was 17, 18-years old and I lived in Glebe in a Victorian terrace style of house while I was performing at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.
I lived there with another cast member from the show.
What I loved about Glebe was the markets there and I would go every Saturday morning.
Chidzey and her husband, composer and saxophonist husband Remco Keijzer, sold their apartment at 8/120 Brighton Rd, Ripponlea, in August. Belle Property St Kilda agent Julian Cannata had the listing.
Chidzey’s best friend Rachel Bickerton renovated and styled the home prior to the sale.
CURRENT HOME
In Melbourne, I lived in a Ripponlea apartment for 10 years.
I absolutely loved living there because we were close to the water and it was very convenient to get in and out from the city.
My best friend Rachel Bickerton renovated and styled the apartment, she worked in New York real estate prior to Covid-19 and has done lots of renovations.

We will move into a new place in Melbourne when I return.
DREAM HOME
I think my dream home would be literally on the beach.
I’m a huge water person and being on the beach is a dream for me.

It would have a garden and a lot of space for the family, a great kitchen with open living and that kind of thing, and it would be nice to have a veggie patch.
