Riot Games has announced an update to the prize for its League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational. The winning team will earn an additional slot for their home region at the 2021 World Championship. An additional Worlds spot will be awarded to the region at the top of the official 2021 power rankings, which will take into account performance at MSI.
Last year, Riot awarded additional Worlds slots to China and Europe due to their success at the previous two World Championship tournaments.
