MIBR have announced the signing of Jhonatan “JOTA” Willian. The 23-year-old has joined the team to further expand the Brazilian roster following the additions of his former Bravos teammates Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato and Matheus “Tuurtle” Anhaia.
JOTA had been a key player for Bravos and one of their best performers before the team disbanded earlier this month, averaging a 1.21 rating in 2021 and helping them become one of, if not the, best teams competing in South America as they clinched several titles on the local scene.
MIBR‘s newest player was signed at a time when Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes is still unable to travel for an unclear reason and Breno “brnz4n” Poletto is returning to Brazil to finish his high school studies ahead of the team’s trip to Mexico, where they will stay to compete in the next ESEA Advanced North America season and other tournaments.

With the roster now featuring nine players, MIBR have a choice to make regarding who they will play with over the long term. For the next several weeks, they will look to conduct trials to determine the 2022 roster.
The team last played at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown without Bruno “shz” Martinelli and Gustavo “yel” Knittel, who took a step back following MIBR‘s unsuccessful campaign at the final RMR tournament IEM Fall, which saw them miss out on a spot at PGL Major Stockholm following losses to Sharks.
For the time being, the team will play with the following quintet, with the other four players placed on the sidelines:
