meyern joins Furious on loan

Date:

Furious have added Ignacio “meyern” Meyer to complete their roster following Friday’s departure of Sebastian “Gooden” Palacios, the Argentine organisation has announced.

The 18-year-old arrives on the team on loan from 9z, having stepped back from active play in October following the team’s seventh place finish in CLUTCH Season 3. At the end of the year, meyern announced that he had been allowed to explore options heading into 2021, now finding a home with Furious where his loan will last until the end of the year.

meyern will ply his trade for Furious after taking some time off

Since stepping down from 9z, meyern has logged no official matches, choosing to focus on playing the game casually while recovering from what he cited as “symptoms of stress and mental exhaustion.”

Furious were unable to surpass the group stage of CBCS Elite League Season 1, the first South American Regional Major Ranking event of 2021, despite two forfeit wins over teams who withdrew from the tournament. Losses to MIBR, Paquetá, and Havan Liberty saw the team fall just short of a spot in the playoffs with a 9-11th place exit.

The team currently have no events lined up following the end of their CBCS tournament run, but will look to improve on their recent results with meyern in tow.

Furious now have:

Argentina Ignacio “nacho” Rodriguez
Argentina Owen “Owen$inhoM” Veron
Argentina Matias “abizz” Muñiz Cusi
Argentina Jonathan “JonY BoY” Muñoz
Argentina Ignacio “meyern” Meyer (on loan from 9z)

Argentina Pablo “Xiguinilster” Paez Ortega (coach)
