Marvel ‘Superhero’: Stan Lee NFTs up for auction

Date:

Marvel fans, unite! Stan Lee, the genius behind some of Marvel Comics’ most popular superheroes, will finally have his own non-fungible token.

The late Marvel animator, who’s also popular for his cameo appearances on Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, will be “recreated” by artist Rob Prior through three paintings that will be minted on the Mintable NFT platform.

Included in the NFT collection that will be auctioned are some rare photographs and videos of Lee that were well-preserved by his caretaker.

Superheroic paintings

The three paintings’ themes are based on the highly popular MCU films. The first one is called “The Infinity Gauntlet,” the second is “Introducing Stan Lee: Master of Magic” and the third is “I Am Iron Man.”

What makes these paintings even more special is that they were signed by Lee before he passed away, which would certainly drive up the price of the paintings. Mintable said that each painting would only have one physical copy and one NFT.

According to Rob Prior, he collaborated with Lee on the three paintings for almost two years before he passed away, and he said that would surely be proud of the paintings’ NFT evolution.

“Stan Lee’s legacy is ever-enduring, one that will continue to permeate the comic book industry forever,” he said.

Stan Lee Legacy

Prior also added that the collection, which will be called “Stan Lee Legacy Collection” will certainly highlight Lee’s timeless contribution to the comics and entertainment industry.

NFTs would immortalize Lee’s legacy in creating one of the most, if not the most popular superheroes that have captured millions of imaginations all over the world.

The NFT collection will be auctioned this coming August 6.
