Making Loot and Treasure for Dungeons & Dragons

Date:

As Wyloch points out in the intro to this video, there really are two camps of D&D/TTRPG players: those who are content with playing “theater of the mind” and those who want to see and play with miniatures and various props.

I have always been of the latter camp — to a fault. When I would DM decades ago, I would spend countless hours creating maps and cards depicting places, non-playing characters, and treasure items. I would even build Dover Books paper models of Medieval towns and villages to show my players where they were. It was often over the top (in terms of prep time), but I had an absolute ball.

For those in this “dungeon crafting” camp, this Wyloch’s Armory video is just what you need. He shows how easy it is to create very realistic treasure, piles o’ loot, and weapons racks from very simple and cheap materials.
