Leon Rose and Rich Paul Work Out Issues

Date:

Knicks president Leon Rose and CEO of Klutch Sports Rich Paul had a positive meeting in New York City on Friday to work out their issues, according to Knicks insider Ian Begley.

According to a league source, everything that needed to be addressed was addressed during the meeting. The two sides can now move on. Rose and Paul “look forward to what a new relationship can be.”

Before the two sides met, Paul showed a reluctance to do business with the Knicks, who are ran by Rose and vice president William Wesley.

Wesley also previously met to discuss the issues that strained the relationship between the organization and Klutch.

Before becoming the team president of the Knicks, Rose was a prominent agent for the Creative Artists Agency. Wesley was a consultant for the agency.

Paul used to work for Rose at CAA [Creative Artists Agency] but the feud had nothing to do with that partnership.

Since the two parties met to hash things out, the Knicks could be a potential destination for players represented by Klutch.

Some of their clients include stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, Trae Young, Tyrese Maxey and Zach LaVine, who was a previous target for the organization. They also represent Dejounte Murray, Jordan Clarkson, and Malcolm Brogdon, all who have been linked to the Knicks recently as trade targets.

Resolving the issues with Klutch removes a potential hurdle for the Knicks, who have been the hottest team in the league recently. New York now looks to possibly make a move at next week’s trade deadline.
