LDM Esports fails to pay players, disbands Masters winning team

LDM Esports, the winner of Masters 1 in the northern Latin American region, did not pay its players and they have left the organization. The team is currently on the hunt for a new organization to represent them as the LDM Esports organization has dissolved its VALORANT and Chilean League of Legends team.

According to the owner of the Chilean organization, Misrain “MisrraVB” Valenciam, LDM Esports was allegedly scammed by its former co-owner & co-CEO José “Ezio” Pérez.

“Towards the end of the entire situation, he left. He simply got up and escaped.” MisrraVB said in a response to the situation on the LDM Esports YouTube channel. “He left, and I sent him messages, like they’re taking the PC’s, they’re taking the electronics. And he never answered. He simply turn his phone off and done.”

LDM Esports before today

LDM Esports is a Chilean esports organization founded by MisrraVB, a LATAM Twitch streamer. It had a League of Legends team in the Chilean league and has a decent following. In 2020, the organization expanded with a second League of Legends team in Mexico and a VALORANT squad. With the expansion came new management as the organization need more administrators to keep track of the various teams. MisrraVB hired Luis “Creador150” Cisneros who then brought in the alleged scammer Ezio.

All three rosters found success in 2020 and early 2021. The VALORANT roster did exceptionally well, winning the Stage 1 Masters 1 tournament in the northern LATAM region.

The League of Legends teams were no slouches either. Its Entel Honor League team just bowed out of the playoffs back in march after an eighth place finish. It Mexico squad, LDM Mexico, won the 2021 Division of Honor Telcel playoffs three days ago, April 4.

Then LDM Esports announced the departure of Creador150 and Ezio on April 5.

“What happened is that the Creador150 introduced me to Ezio, who they thought was like a “millionaire” and well, it’s assumed he had a lot of money,” MisrraVB said. “Well, it turned out that he didn’t, and not soon after Creador150 left. In the press release we stated that he left around the same time as the release, and it wasn’t like that. He left a while back, but we decided to go with it in order to clean our image and start over.”

LDM Esports falls

After Creador150 left, Ezio and MisrraVB were left to run the organization. According to MisrraVB, Ezio was responsible for the northern operations. But, he was not able to officially sign paperwork as an owner of the team.

I always had my doubts, because he always told me he was going to get lawyers and all of that, but in the end, it never went through because he signed all of the documents with false identification,” MisrraVB said.

The VALORANT team was living in a gaming house at the time, that was owned by Estral Esports. In the video, the owner of LDM says that Ezio told the players that they would be paid at the end of the month. But, allegedly Ezio mounted many debts to different people in his time as a co-owner which all came to head April 6. The VALORANT team was kicked out of the gaming house and their computer equipment was taken as Ezio failed to pay the sponsors and Estral Esports.

The teams captain Julian “BEAST” Lauandos posted a photo to Twitter of the team together with their bags that day.

“So that’s basically it. We’re in debt, and of course, regrettably so am I.” MisrraVB said. “I had no idea that any of that was happening, because I was under the impression that everything was getting paid. The players didn’t communicate with me saying ‘hey, Missra, I’m not getting paid.’ I didn’t know it was such a big debt owed to them.”

The team had to forfeit its most recent VCT Stage 2 matches, because they had no equipment or place to play. The LATAM caster Emmanuel Javier “Reptile” Neyra, who used to work for LDM Esports, posted to Twitter about the teams need for an organization along with an email to send offers.

Recently Spencer “Hiko” Martin said that he may be starting a fundraiser for the now-orgless team to get back on their feet.

World of Warcraft players will receive a pair of unique in-game pets following the reaching of a donation milestone for Doctors Without Borders.

The charity fundraiser reached its initial goal of $500,000 on March 24. Just shy of a month later the ultimate goal of $1 million has been met.

Players on the retail World of Warcraft servers can now redeem a pair of in-game pets–Bananas the Baby Gorilla and Daisy the Sloth.

Bananas is a traditional pet that will follow you around Azeroth as normal. Daisy is a pet that players can carry upon their back as they move around on their adventures.

These two rewards will be available until August 1, so make sure to not leave it till to late before adding these adorable critters to your collection.

The duo is available to all players whether you contributed to the campaign and can be redeemed through the Blizzard Shop in the Battle.net client.

The Charity Pet program in World of Warcraft is one of Activision Blizzard’s initiatives to support global fundraising. The company similarly released a cosmetic pack in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 titled the “Call of Duty Endowment United Pack,” with proceeds put towards helping veterans find employment.

For those looking to get their hands on their new pet friends right now, only Bananas can be claimed, while Daisy will be made available in the near future.

Teamfight Tactis Set 5: Reckoning patched PBE, bringing tentative balance changes.

Season 5: Reckoning has been on PBE for the last month with various new features. The general public seems satisfied because Season 4 has been dragging on for a bit. As the release date approaches in less than a week, the game makes a few changes before the official release.

The PBE patch happened April 20 with changes in the following area:

Let us take a closer look at major changes. For the full patch note, see Riot’s official 4/20 PBE Update article.

The April 20 PBE patch removed the two gold per win payout and added a two gold per loss payout.

Hyper Roll is a new game mod coming this season. Players start with 10 health, and love one health per defeat. Experience cannot be bought with money, and rolls costs health. This would require different gameplay from original ranked queue with a faster phase estimated 15 minutes per game. See Teamfight Tactics: Hyper Roll on Riot’s official website for detailed information about Hyper Roll.

With the new season comes new traits and champions. A few new members include Draven and Viego, a part of the Forgotten champions. Another interesting champion is Little Devil Teemo where he takes health and not coins to be recruited. The list of traits and champions is found in the Trait Overview Cheatsheet released by the official Teamfight Tactics Twitter.

The shop roll odds for Level seven and eight has both decreased.

Spatula spawn rates on the carousel has been adjusted in stage two, three and four at the rate of 45%.

A total of 19 items have gone through changes in patch April 20.

Shadow items went through changes, where most items were weakened other than the Shadow Blue Buff and the Shadow Hextech Gunblade. More information about Shadow items can be found in the Reckoning Gameplay Overview by Riot.

The develop team continues to work on Teamfight Tactics to release Season 5: Reckoning. Players can be excited for a balanced gameplay on April 27 when the new season officially starts.

Dallas Empire benches Huke, promotes FeLo to starting roster

The Dallas Empire has benched Huke in favor of Challengers player FeLo, the team announced today via Twitter.

Huke, who at one time was touted as one of the best players in the Call of Duty League this year, will move to a “reserve role,” according to the Empire’s tweet. FeLo will make his first CDL start against Stage Two Major champions Toronto Ultra on Sunday, April 25.

“FeLo will be in the starting lineup Sunday against Toronto as we move Huke to a reserve role,” the Empire’s statement reads. “The team has felt we are playing below our potential, and with FeLo playing so well in Challengers, he’s earned a shot to compete in the starting lineup.”

Huke tweeted: “Wish them the best, another challenge for me and I’m here for it.”

FeLo is a veteran of the Call of Duty scene, competing for the likes of OpTic Nation, CLG, Rise Nation, compLexity, eUnited, and Evil Geniuses. After spending the entire 2020 season in Challengers with Triumph Gaming, FeLo signed with the Empire as the team’s only substitute in January 2021.

The Empire won their first match of Stage Three earlier today, defeating the Paris Legion 3-1. During the series, Huke had a 1.05 K/D ratio, the second-worst of the four players. Shotzzy, the reigning league MVP, had a 0.82 K/D.

Dallas are in second place in the 12-team league with 190 CDL Points right now. They’re 12-7 on the season and finished second and third at the Stage One and Stage Two Majors, respectively.

FeLo and Dallas will take on the Ultra in the last match of the first week of Stage Three at 5pm CT on April 25.
