The LCS 2022 season started with EG surprising everyone and rising to the top much earlier than anticipated. Now, everyone is playing catchup. Some teams made moves while others stayed put. Week 2 saw most teams go 1-1 while only one team made a hard charge up the standings. Here are the LCS 2022 Summer Split Week 3 Power Rankings.

10. IMT (1-4)

(Last Week: 6)

It really felt like Immortals were ready to take a step forward considering they had more time to practice. Instead, they handed Dignitas their first win of the season. Lost and Revenge have had some good moments but POE, IgNar and Kenvi have struggled. The weird part is that they have all struggled in very different areas. This is likely what is leading to Immortals just looking worse overall. Things need to change quickly or else they will quickly be the first team eliminated from playoff contention.

9. DIG (1-4)

(Last Week: 10)

Somehow there is a worse team in the LCS currently. For as much as everyone wants Gamsu to succeed, he is just not looking like he is it. Add onto this that Blue has come back down to earth and Dignitas easily have the worst solo laners in the LCS. If it weren’t for River and Neo, Dignitas likely would have zero wins. This team may already need to start thinking about their future and how serious they are about competing in 2023 with most of these players.

8. GGS (2-3)

(Last Week: 9)

Licorice has been an absolute animal so far. If Golden Guardians want to do anything this split though, they will need Ablazeolive to get back into top shape. This will also be contingent on Pridestalker continuing to grow and the bot lane finding some more stability. Golden Guardians are not terrible, their win over TSM shows that they can win with a much better draft than their opponents. Whether or not this will continue though is the real question for GGS.

7. FLY (2-3)

(Last Week: 8)

With one of the best early game teams in the LCS, FlyQuest are extremely confusing. The combination of Josedeodo and Toucouille are looking pretty strong. All the while, Johnson and Aphromoo are putting in the time bot lane. Philip is certainly not bad but his positioning and decision-making late in games are certainly not helping this team. They can be contenders but they have to figure out their mid and late game or else the top teams will continue to find ways to nullify their early game leads.

6. 100T (3-2)

(Last Week: 4)

There is just something about this squad that keeps them in contention while just not passing the eye test all that much. So far Closer, FBI and huhi have hard carried this team. Ssumday does not look nearly as confident as he did last split and Abbedagge has looked awful in lane. They do win late game teamfights pretty often but sometimes that just is not enough. 100 Thieves can be great, but they continue to make the same mistakes.

5. TSM (2-3)

(Last Week: 5)

The win over Team Liquid was TSM’s biggest win of 2022. They looked in sync and dominated for basically the entire game. Considering that game, many could have assumed they would carry it over into their game against Golden Guardians. Nope. Instead, they got draft canyoned even when they had counter-pick. This team plays to their level of competition. This is good in the sense that they can contend with the top dogs but they also seem to lose to arguably much worse teams. Time is TSM’s friend for now but they have to start winning games they should very soon.

4. C9 (2-3)

(Last Week: 7)

The starting five for C9 looked pretty good this past weekend. The crazy part? They did not look anywhere near as good as they will here in a couple of weeks. With Berserker back and Zven having more of a say in the decision-making, Cloud9 are a terrifying team for anyone to see on their schedules. Should they have another 2-0 weekend, they will easily threaten the top teams and take a top three spot.

3. TL (4-1)

(Last Week: 2)

The TSM loss was not a great look for TL. They just never seemed able to get a foothold and slowly lost a game with no doors left open to them. Sure, the FlyQuest game was a nice bounceback but that is still their best win of the four that they have. Beating Immortals, Dignitas, FlyQuest and Cloud9 without their full lineup is still nothing to write home about. That can all change in a pivotal weekend for TL as they take on 100T and CLG. A 2-0 gives fans confidence again. Anything less and this team that many expected to be at the top could be on the outside looking in come time for Worlds.

2. CLG (4-1)

(Last Week: 3)

How do they continue to do it? CLG pull off a miracle win against Evil Geniuses and now sit in a great spot. When Contractz and Palafox are playing at their best and Dhokla looks like one of the best top laners in the LCS, it is hard not to forget that Luger is still the best player on this team. Until the split ends, everyone will question how much longer this can continue. For now, CLG fans should enjoy seeing their faith pay off and laugh at the doubters.

1. EG (4-1)

(Last Week: 1)

Normally a win over a team close in the rankings or directly above a team means that the winning team takes over. In this case, EG threw what should have been their fifth win out of five for the Summer 2022 Split. Evil Geniuses have what could be a trap game against TSM coming up but even still, they should be the undisputed best team in the LCS at this time. Another loss could change that theory and two would make these statements look moronic. Still, EG are bursting with talent, not playing at their best and still should be favored in every game they play.
