Call of Duty (COD): Warzone players have discovered a way to parachute into the gulag several rounds before they’re allowed—resulting in temporary invincibility.
Yet another game-breaking glitch has been discovered in Warzone thanks to YouTuber NTrippy, a Canadian content creator and Twitch streamer. In a minute-long video posted to his YouTube channel on Friday, July 9, NTrippy was able to show off just how powerful this glitch truly is. He essentially parachuted into the gulag at least two rounds before his turn and was able to beat other players to death without suffering a single wound.
“This is too dangeorus,” he said in the video, “I gotta make sure the devs know about this so they can fix it.”
NTrippy neglected to show just how he accomplished the feat. However, the method can be pieced together between the shots of the streamer standing over the arena and then parachuting into it ahead of his turn.
Once inside, he proceeded to explore the well-known area for a moment before encountering a fellow player. The player didn’t react to his presence at first—but was quick to take notice after NTrippy threw the first punch. He went on to eliminate his “opponent” with his fists while apologizing all the while.
In his description, NTrippy states that executions don’t work while operating under the glitch. It also appears to be “time-bound” meaning that once the player’s round ticks their invulnerability should disappear in turn.
Additionally, according to several commenters on the video, despite the streamer’s best efforts to hide how to do the bug, it has already gone viral on other social media sites like Tik Tok. Others encouraged him to show the process, as well, for the greater good—as more players taking advantage of it will provide more buzz and a higher chance of a swift fix.
While NTrippy stitched his clips with humor to maintain a lighthearted atmosphere around the bug, its implications are clear. The gulag is where players go to earn a shot at redemption. If this space can be just as easily broken by glitches, is anywhere in Warzone safe? Just how far can one go to cheat the system?
Neither Activision nor Raven Software has issued a statement or acknowledgment about the gulag glitch.
