Madison Square Garden Sports NBA2K Franchise team, Knicks Gaming, have struck a deal with gaming chair company Razer with the latter to become the new official partner of the organisation.
The deal will mean that Razer will provide its gaming chairs to the Knicks training facility for use by both the team players and other members of staff.
For agreeing to outfit the team with its products, Razer is set to receive what the Knicks have termed “significant brand inclusion” across the wide range of social media and digital services run by Knicks Gaming.
Furthermore, the deal will also see Razer and Knicks Gaming collaborate on future content for the social media platforms.
One of these items will be useful to customers of Razer as it will include an unboxing and assembly tutorial for one of the manufacturer’s popular gaming chair models.
“Beneficial For Both Brands”
Speaking about the agreement, the Vice President of Business Operations at Madison Square Garden Sports, Dan Fleeter, expressed his delight at the partnership agreement.
“We are proud to have Razer as the official gaming chair partner of the Knicks gaming team,” stated Mr Fleeter.
“We look forward to utilizing their high-performance, high quality gaming chairs, and know that this partnership will be beneficial for both brands as we kick off the 2022 NBA 2K season.”
The news means that Razer has now expanded the number of teams that it has partnership deals with after signing similar deals in recent times with KRC Genk Esports, Team Queso, Envy Gaming and Alliance.
The company is a relative newcomer to the market, releasing its first gaming chair in October 2020, but it has gained a very strong following amongst gamers and esports betting professionals alike with its Iskur chair proving particularly popular.

Knicks Try To Improve Their Standing
The deal is an important one for the Knicks as they seek to improve their standing in the NBA 2K league.
The league has seen an expansion to 24 teams for the new season, all but two of which have links to an NBA franchise and of course, the Knicks are the NBA 2k team with close ties to the New York Knicks NBA team.
In 2021, the team finished with a 15-13 record on the regular season, but they were well off the pace set by the two dominant teams in the season, Wizards District Gaming and Jazz Gaming.
And it was the Wizards who clinched their second consecutive NFL 2K Championship by beating Jazz Gaming in the Finals series.
To assist them in their quest to improve, the Knicks recently brought on board Mitchell Franklin as the first assistant coach in franchise history.
Mitchell has a wealth of experience as a former NBA 2K professional player and in his time as a content creator with the Orlando Magic.
He also won the PS4 version of the NBA 2K Road To The All-Star Tournament in 2017.
With more deals and sponsorships like this, the Knicks are looking well set to improve on their 2021 showing in the NBA 2K league.
