Khatabook, the Indian fintech startup, is allowing its employees to take a ten-day Mental Health Break, from September 25 to October 3, 2021. In the last three quarters, the Company has been very busy, having acquired Biz Analyst, rolled out its first ESOP buyback plan, and added at least 100 people to its team.
This is not the first time that Khatabook has given its staff a break. With employee well being always a priority, the firm believes in offering mental health breaks to employees at regular intervals. Last year, it had given the staff a similar break from December 25 to Januar 4, 2021.
Ravish Naresh, CEO and co-founder, Khatabook, wrote a mail to the employees acknowledging how stressful it had been for everyone to work amidst the pandemic even while dealing with challenges at home. Therefore, he says in the mail, “The objective behind this prolonged company-wide break is to give everybody an opportunity to unwind and return to work reinvigorated.”
Once the office reopens on October 4, employees who are fully vaccinated will have the option to work from office. There will be guidelines and protocols in place, with regard to the schedule and the capacity at which the office will function. The Company was amongst the many that organised vaccination drives for its staff.
