JOB AIR Technic conclude un accordo di manutenzione degli aeromobili con Ryanair per la stagione invernale

Data:

From November, regular maintenance of aircraft of the Irish carrier Ryanair will begin in the hangars of JOB AIR Technic’s aircraft repair facilities. Both companies have agreed to allocate one repair line for the so-called heavy maintenance of Ryanair aircraft. During the winter season, i.e. from November to March, at least six aircraft of this company should be heading to Ostrava-Mošnov. The agreement, on which both parties started working in the spring of this year, is valid for the upcoming winter season.

“Although there is currently an abundance of orders on the MRO market, we naturally perceive positively the fact that thanks to the concluded agreement we will have a partial utilization of our capacities for the entire winter repair season well in advance, which will allow us to effectively plan our further activities,” comments Vladimír Stulančák, CEO of JOB AIR Technic.
The cooperation with Ryanair places higher demands on aircraft repair shops, because the carrier, which operates a fleet of several hundred aircraft, tends to keep the machines, whose maintenance is not provided by its own capacities, under surveillance at all times. For this reason, it is also positive news that Ryanair has chosen JOB AIR Technic for the heavy maintenance of its aircraft.

“Every project has to be perfectly prepared on their part. This includes, for example, the attendance of customer representatives at least two weeks before the first machine arrives for maintenance. They also provide historical data for the aircraft, which helps us to be as prepared as possible for each job. We also visited their maintenance center to show us the modern processes they follow in maintenance and the quality of work they expect from us,” adds Vladimír Stulančák.

JOB AIR Technic has long prided itself on maximum flexibility and an individual approach to all its customers. He, therefore, sees cooperation with Ryanair not only as a valuable reference but also as an opportunity to take his services to a higher level by adapting to Ryanair’s processes and requirements.

“Our five-year growth plan will expand our fleet to more than 600 aircraft. The agreement with JOB AIR Technic will allow Ryanair to use one heavy maintenance slot in the upcoming winter season. JOB AIR Technic has an excellent reputation in the industry for its quality service offering and this agreement will ensure that Ryanair has flexibility in terms of where it places its aircraft for the winter maintenance season,” said Neal McMahon, Ryanair’s Chief Operating Officer, on the agreement.
JOB AIR Technic has two repair hangars that can accommodate eight narrow-body Airbus A320 family or Boeing 737 aircraft. A second hangar with workshop facilities will be opened by the company, which has been a member of the Czechoslovak Group since 2016, in early 2020. Last year, the air repair facility generated revenues of CZK 796 million with an EBITDA of CZK 111 million, which was the company’s best result since it was founded in 1993, despite the covid-19 pandemic.
More than 100 aircraft pass through its hangars annually, mostly for the so-called heavy maintenance in which JOB AIR Technic specializes. In addition to the Airbus A320 family and the Boeing 737, the company has also been authorized to maintain the Boeing 737 MAX. It is also authorized to maintain wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. Its customers include major leasing companies and airline operators. The company employs more than 400 people. JOB AIR Technic is now also fulfilling a prestigious contract, servicing Airbus aircraft of the Czech Air Force, the so-called government squadron used for transporting politicians, athletes, soldiers, or Czech citizens in case of their evacuation from crisis destinations.
