Is Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition on Xbox Game Pass?

Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, a nihilistic action-platformer roguelike remaster, initially released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Microsoft Store and Steam) on May 7, 2021. Starting on Oct. 28, it will be available to Xbox Game Pass (Cloud, Console, and PC) subscribers.
Spearheaded by the efforts of developer Brainwash Gang and publisher Digerati, Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition is purposefully obscure in both its gameplay and theme, and described as a
“riddle that demands sacrifice.”
Additionally, one of its features says that the game has the “potential to change your perception about existence, violence and mankind.”
Each run in Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition invites players to part from a black and white graveyard into an ever-changing gothic dungeon full of nightmares fleshed out of human viscera.
In terms of its run-and-gun combat gameplay, it’s said that surviving not only requires skill but style, with hundreds of levels plagued with dozens of different enemies, as well as many weapons, items and equipment to unlock and master. There is also a card-based perk system that grants powerups and passive stats, such as speed boost and bigger bullets.
Exclusive to the Doppelganger Edition of Nongunz are two all-new modes: Arena and Local Co-op.
Arena mode tasks players to survive an eternity of enemies, while the two-player Local Co-op mode allows players to join forces with their duo.
Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s video game subscription service, has picked up major momentum in the past year as more and more third-party publishers launch their brand-new games on the platform.
