South Korean nonprofit the International Esports Federation (IESF) has partnered with travel loyalty provider Inspira Holding to support its members with travel and accommodation options.

IESF’s 128 members will have access to their own ‘closed user group’ travel booking platform with options at the lowest possible cost.

The partnership will also enable members to access discounts of up to 60% on resorts and other travel products, with access to car rentals, flights and leisure activities coming soon.

The agreement marks Inspira Holding’s first foray into the world of esports. The firm has made a point of supporting sports competitors over the years, from American lacrosse team Philadelphia Wings to the International Judo Federation. They now claim to have over 80 million customers worldwide.

IESF recently marked a 100-day countdown to the fourteenth world championships in Indonesia. The global competition will include competitors in six games: Counter-Strike, DOTA 2, Tekken 7, eFootball series, PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Because of the multiple games at the competition, prize pools for the larger titles will be relatively small compared to their standards for alternative international events. CS:GO, for example, has a prize pool of just $100,000 (~£88,000). That said, it will be the first time the Championship has arrived in Indonesia, following the acceptance of the Pengurus Besar Esports Indonesia (PBESI) into the Federation.

In a statement, Somit Talwar, CEO of Inspira Holding noted that the partnership with IESF would help bolster the company’s commitment to helping sports clubs and federations.

IESF President, Vlad Marinescu, commented: “This partnership with Inspira brings enormous value to the Federation.

“Not only do we offer travel solutions to our members but we do so hand in hand with a company that is highly committed to innovation while offering an unbeatable inventory of resorts at the most competitive prices.”
