The qualifying process for IEM Fall in Oceania and Asia came to an end, with LookingForOrg and VERTEX securing their spots in the Oceania division while NKT and Checkmate earned their berths in the Asian tournament.

LookingForOrg were the first team to make it through the gauntlet in Oceania, defeating the third-placed 8Ballers in their opening series before taking out VERTEX in the upper bracket finals without dropping a map. Tom “⁠apocdud⁠” Henry and company then took a spot at the main event through the lower bracket, taking out the aforementioned 8Ballers in the consolidation final.

In Asia it seemed like Checkmate and Wings Up were going to fight for the first spot at IEM Fall Asia in the upper bracket final, but Checkmate’s initial victory over NKT was overturned due to a member of the organization’s staff being in the room with the team, which breaks the tournament’s rules. NKT then defeated Wings Up in the upper bracket final, sending the Chinese squad down to the lower bracket.

Checkmate made their way past Invictus in the first round of the lower bracket to set up the match that would have originally been the upper bracket final, but this time in the do-or-die match in the lower bracket to make it to the main event, which the Mongolians took 2-1 over Wings Up to secure a spot at the RMR tournament.

IEM Fall Oceania will be the first of the two events to be played, on September 29-October 3, while IEM Fall Asia will take place on October 5-10, both with crucial Regional Major Ranking points up for grabs.
