If you’ve had a villager that has made a rude remark or doesn’t fit into your island’s aesthetic, it might be tempting to build an inescapable fence around their homes, or shove them until they’re stomping angrily on the ground. However, it won’t speed up the process of moving them out.
Although you can report villagers’ bad behavior to Isabelle, this method won’t result in getting rid of a character, but it will reset the villager’s catchphrases and clothing.

One of the best ways to speed up the process of moving out is to avoid the villager for several days. Players shouldn’t talk or complete tasks for their unwanted villager.
After neglecting a villager, you should still keep them within a certain distance in order to notice them walking around with a thought bubble.
Alternatively, a villager might run up to you and say that they’re thinking about leaving the island. After a villager presents you with this dilemma, you can choose to confirm the villager’s move.
