D Medals are used in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to learn some new Super Attacks. So, how do you get more of them?

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has finally made its way to Nintendo Switch. The game joins an extensive list of Dragon Ball video games, once again following the main events of the anime series. Alongside Goku, playable characters include Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, Future Trunks, Gotenks, and Vegito. The other well-loved Z-Fighters appear as supporting characters, aiding you in battle in their own unique way.

As you get stuck into the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, characters will be available to unlock new abilities by spending D Medals. This can be done at Training Grounds. Of course, you’re going to want to know where to get hold of more D Medals.

Luckily, there are a few ways to earn D Medals. The first is through Substories, which are short quests that occur between the main story quests. They’re usually pretty simple but tend to only reward you with one D Medal.

A second source of D Medals can be found scattered throughout the world. The World Map will let you know how many D Medals are available in a particular area. Players can press the left bumper button to search the landscape for purple balls, which often contain D Medals.

The final way, and probably the most effective, is to fill out the Z Encyclopedia. Participating in various activities like fishing, battles, and resource gathering will fill out entires in the Z Encyclopedia. To receive your rewards, players should go to the Main Menu and open the Z Encyclopedia. Doing so will automatically dispense any D Medals that you are owed.
