Abay “⁠Hobbit⁠” Khasenov edged out a tight MVP race at BLAST Premier Spring Final, getting the individual accolade after Gambit‘s 2-0 victory over Natus Vincere in the grand final. His team has now won three consecutive titles and cemented their spot at the top of the world ranking.

The Kazakh player was incredibly consistent at the event, his worst map being a 1.11-rated Dust2 in the grand final, with that stability seeing him leave behind AWPers Aleksandr “⁠s1mple⁠” Kostyliev and Dmitry “⁠sh1ro⁠” Sokolov in the fight for the MVP award.
