Here are the 197 tech startups from Y Combinator’s Summer 2020 Batch

Date:

We wrote about Y Combinator (YC) back in June after the startup incubator relaunched its Startup School as a Continuous Program. Y Combinator is a startup incubator that provides funding for early-stage startups. Since its inception in 2005, over 2,000 companies have been launched through Y Combinator including Stripe, Airbnb, Cruise Automation, DoorDash, Coinbase, Instacart, Dropbox, and Twitch.

Y Combinator was founded in 2005 by Paul Graham (one of the two people we follow on Twitter), Jessica Livingston, Trevor Blackwell, and Robert Tappan Morris. Twice a year, Y Combinator invests in two large batches of startups, dividing into Winter and Summer groups.

This week, the company unveiled 197 tech startups selected for its Summer 2020 Batch. Of the total, with 36 percent of them being international. Women-led startups account for 16 percent of the companies, 6 percent had Black founders, and 10 percent had a Latinx founder.

Due to coronavirus pandemic, this is the first YC accelerator class to take place entirely online, from the day zero interviews all the way on through to their eventual demo day debut. 126 companies participated in the two Demo days this week.

Listed below are the YCombinator Summer 2020 tech startups.
