But Brisbane property developer Scott Flynn, who picked up the British Trade Commissioner’s former lodgings in Hamilton for $9m in December, is now selling his Grange home of eight years at 79 Montpelier St, in what could be the biggest sale of the year for the north Brisbane suburb.

“Irreplaceable” is how Mr Flynn describes 79 Montpelier St, Grange, which sits on the largest block in the suburb.

The 2239sq m property set the suburb record in 2014 when Scott and Sacha Flynn paid $3.85m for the renovated home.

The main kitchen has been updated and is ideally positioned for dining and entertaining.

The property features a gabled, five-bedroom house on an elevated block with city views. It has a rare 50m street frontage, a tennis court and a swimming pool.

Tennis anyone?

The house itself had been renovated before the Scotts moved in and they have maintained it since then.

The sheltered veranda makes outdoor entertaining possible no matter what the weather is doing.

Scott Flynn is a former auctioneer who now runs his own development company, Scott Flynn Properties. He won a national award for his work with Brisbane Airport Hotels Group, including the construction of Brisbane Airport’s first five-star hotel, the Pullman Brisbane Airport.

Ray White Ascot’s Damon Warat oversaw the auction of the Hamilton estate just before Christmas and he is partnering with Ray White Wilston’s Alistair Macmillan on the sale of 79 Montpelier St, Grange, which goes to auction on Saturday at 10am.
