What is FunPlus Phoenix’s New CSGO Roster?

FunPlus Phoenix is ramping up efforts to sign a new CS:GO roster as part of its efforts to build a long-lasting CS:GO roster. The organization is in advanced talks to sign Godsent’s CS:GO roster according to multiple reports. Godsent’s CS:GO roster is ranked 19th in the HLTV rankings.

Godsent’s CS:GO roster has had mixed results in the past few months. However, the team is sixth in the Regional Major Rankings helped largely by its fifth-place finish at cs_summit 6. The team also won 1000 points from the ESL One Road to Rio earlier in the year. If FunPlus Phoenix holds on to its sixth place in the rankings, the team is guaranteed a slot in the next CS:GO Major. Valve has canceled the ESL One Rio Major and the details of the next Major are still unknown.

If the Godsent player transfer goes through without any changes, FunPlus Phoenix’s CS:GO roster would be as follows:

  • Jesse “zehN” Linjala
  • Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend
  • Martin “STYKO” Styk
  • Pavle “Maden” Bošković
  • Asger “Farlig” Jensen
  • Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg (coach)

FunPlus Phoenix Aims for CSGO Stability After Shaky Start

FunPlus Phoenix first entered CS:GO earlier in the year to take part in FLASHPOINT Season 1. The organization famous for its League of Legends roster announced the signing of the Heroic players, a deal that fell through when Astralis signed Es3tag (just to transfer him to Cloud9 a few months later).

FunPlus Phoenix would then go on to sign Bad News Bears to complete the rest of FLASHPOINT Season 1. The team finished 7-8th in the tournament after losing to Gen.G esports in the lower bracket.
