Gnøffe joins Astralis Talent

Date:

Lucas “Gnøffe” Brunsvig has signed for Astralis Talent, the Danish organization announced on Wednesday, filling the gap on the team left by the departure of Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss in April.

“We have tested quite a few players and I’m really happy we have found a player like Lucas (Gnøffe), who as a player and as a person fits our culture and work ethics,” Dennis “vnG” Vang, team coach and Head of Talent, said about the signing. “He has impressed us with his approach to the game and already now he is integrated into the team and with his teammates.”

Astralis Talent have a new fifth, Gnøffe

“He has proven to be the crucial last piece of the puzzle in term of team dynamics and a common understanding of how to play,” vnG added, saying that he believes improved results will happen “in coming weeks and months”.

The 18-year-old made his debut for Astralis Talent in BLAST Rising 2021 and Elisa Invitational Summer earlier in May, with his only other HLTV.org-featured matches dating back to 2020 when he played alongside Danny “BERRY” Krüger in OPAA.

The academy team of Denmark’s renowned organization has struggled to make an impact on the international scene and is currently ranked No. 171 in the world. Astralis‘ youngsters are lagging behind what NAVI Junior and Young Ninjas squads have been able to achieve, with the latter knocking on the doors of the top-30 after wins over teams such as Movistar Riders, ENCE, and Endpoint in the last month.

Astralis Talent are now:

Denmark Mads “vester” Vestergaard
Denmark Alexander “Altekz” Givskov
Denmark Andreas “Void” Dietrichsen
Denmark Victor “vigg0” Bisgaard
Denmark Lucas “Gnøffe” Brunsvig

Denmark Mikkel “MistR” Thomsen (begins summer 2021)

Denmark Dennis “vnG” Vang (coach)
