Foot fetishists rejoice, because now there’s another source besides WikiFeet to satisfy your desires.

Well, sort of.

MSCHF, the same pranksters behind the astrology finance app and chicken bong now bring you thisfootdoesnotexist.com. Inspired by thispersondoesnotexist.com, a website that uses a generative adversarial network (or GAN) to generate an image of a fake person from large database of photos of real people, thisfootdoesnotexist does the same thing — only with feet. And there are many, many images of feet on the internet for the AI to draw from.

While thispersondoesnotexist shows you a new face with every refresh, thisfootdoesnotexist asks you to text 646-760-8955 to receive your uncanny valley feet. I did, and was treated to a particularly sassy bot back:

It appears that the AI only knows to send foot pics when “foot” or “feet” are in the text. The actual website, however, has more information — including an explanation of how GANs work and why foot photos are such a commodity (and why they have then become a meme). The website then goes on to explain Jacobellis v. Ohio, the seminal Supreme Court case on pornographic images, as well as Arghiri Emmanuel’s theory of unequal exchange

When you’re done getting your foot pic (and…Marxist economics?) education, you can simply text the number and get cheeky responses back.

MSCHF’s head of commerce, Dan Greenberg, told Mashable that his team spent months using complex artificial intelligence to create the site because of the fascinating role foot pics hold on the internet. Photos of feet are a category of porn completely different than traditional porn; for one, there’s no “nudity” as we know it or genitalia. Furthermore, foot photos can be simultaneously memes and nudes.

“This results in an unusual economic paradigm by which the foot pic is both highly valuable and almost throwaway-worthless at the same time,” said Greenberg, “and this creates a highly intriguing supply and demand dynamic when creators/consumers fall on different ends of this valuation scale.”

Whether AI feet pics are just as valuable/throwaway-able as real feet pics is yet to be seen, but that does not stop thisfootdoesnotexist from churning them out regardless.

“Lol got a little carried away ;)?” the bot asked me, followed by yet another inquiry whether I wanted more feet. Because on the internet, there’s an endless supply of foot pics; thanks to MSCHF, there can be an endless supply of strangely cursed foot pics as well.
