Forza Horizon 5 Donut Media Collab (Series 14) Now Live, Returning Woodie Wagons, New Story, New Bodykits And More

Date:

Today begins another four weeks’ worth of new/new-ish content being added to Forza Horizon 5, and the start of a new Festival Playlist- the open-world racing game’s complete-checklist-and-unlock-rewards post-game content.

For the fourteenth series, Forza Horizon 5 is bringing in the dudes from Donut Media, in particular Jay and Nolan, to Horizon Mexico.

You’ll be greeting the two in person as part of the series introduction. This intro sequence plays automatically the moment you boot up the game from now until December 8, similar to last month’s Horizon 10-Year Anniversary.

That intro is the start of a new Horizon Story: Donut Media @ Horizon. This Horizon Story has a unique mechanic: as in you’ll have to do some mechanical tuning. You get to pick one of three Classic Muscle cars, and over a series of challenges, must tweak your tune to eventually turn them into a rally car. At any time during the story missions, you can bring up the tuning menu to tweak the car’s characteristics to ensure you can complete the objective.

Other than that, you can find many other references to the YouTube channel everywhere in the game. The new Forza Link (chat wheel lines) are all one-liners fans of the show will recognise. And all the puns on Festival Playlist are replaced with Donut Media show names and references- all the Forzathon tasks are named Up To Speed, for example.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 14 New Cars

For this series, Forza Horizon 5 is bringing 1 new car and bringing back three others. The new car is a 2020 Lynk & Co #100 Cyan Racing 03, which is a race car (touring car) version of the previously added Lynk & Co 03.

The rest are woodie wagons: cars with distinct wooden panels making up the rear portion.

Here’s the full list of new cars unlocked through the Series 14 Festival Playlist:

  • 2020 Lynk & Co #100 Cyan Racing 03 – Earn 20 Points during Summer
  • 1965 Morris Mini-Traveller – Earn 20 Points during Autumn
  • 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon – Earn 20 Points during Winter
  • 1953 Morris Minor Series II Traveler – Earn 20 Points during Spring

Forza Horizon 5 New Rocket Bunny Widebody Kits

Another big addition to this update is new widebody kits. Rocket Bunny was conspicuously missing in Forza Horizon 5 and now it’s back with 21 new widebody kits for 20 cars. The full list can be found here.

The game was also updated earlier this week adding more graphical options on PC. Forza Horizon 5 now supports Nvidia DLSS 2.4, Nvidia DLAA, AMD FSR 2.2, and two more options for ray-tracing (Ultra, Extreme).
