If you ever felt that Forza Horizon 5’s amazing soundtrack has started to go stale upon repeat after repeat playing (you will definitely feel it if you clock over 200 hours, trust us), good news.

With the upcoming Horizon 10-Year Anniversary update, the open-world racing game will be adding some new music to the mix. Well, new to Forza Horizon 5 that is.

Developer Playground Games is playing with the nostalgia strings here as they are bringing back select licensed songs that were featured in Forza Horizon 1-4. This can be found in a new radio station, Horizon Mixtape, hosted by Scott Tyler.

Ol’ Scotty here has been a staple for Forza Horizon, he DJ’d on the Horizon Bass Arena radio station in all 5 Forza Horizon games, and he’s here pulling double duties for the new station.

The Horizon Mixtape includes 15 songs from across the past 4 Forza Horizon games. Interestingly, some have to be unlocked. Some songs will unlock by completing the new Horizon Story (story missions): Horizon Origins.

The songs from the start screens of all four games require you to participate in a seasonal championship in the Festival Playlist- the limited-time seasonal events.

Hopefully, there are other methods to unlock them after the season ends. No one should miss out on hearing Nocturne by Keeno.

Here’s the list of returning songs coming to Forza Horizon 5’s Horizon Mixtape radio station, bold indicates the song requires unlocking.

  • Forza Horizon
    • Language by Porter Robinson (Forza Horizon start screen)
    • Levels (Skrillex Mix) by Avicii
    • Show Me A Sign by Modestep
  • Forza Horizon 2
    • Nocturne by Keeno (Forza Horizon 2 start screen)
    • Slipstream by Metrik
  • Forza Horizon 3
    • Ingrid Is A Hybrid by Dusky (Forza Horizon 3 start screen)
    • Aurora (feat. Metrik) by Camo & Krooked
    • Bored To Death by blink-182
    • Constellations – FH3 VIP Mix by Fred V & Grafix
    • Get It Right by The Offspring
    • Tied To You (feat. Justin Tranter) by The Knocks
  • Forza Horizon 4
    • A Moment Apart by ODESZA (Forza Horizon 4 start screen)
    • Dawnbreaker by Metrik
    • Fly by Marshmello
    • Sunrise by Fred V & Grafix

The Forza 10-Year Anniversary update for Forza Horizon 5 will drop on October 11, ahead of the start of the new Festival Playlist Series on October 13.

The update will add various throwbacks to the franchise history including props from the past games (usable in custom creations in Eventlabs), Midnight Battles returning from Forza Horizon 3, as well as the usual new car additions.
