Fortnite Update 20.00 is just a few hours away from release, signaling the start of Chapter 3, Season 2! Very little might have leaked about the new content but that’s got us incredibly excited to see what Epic has planned.

We’re going to take you through everything you need to know ahead of time and we’ll also attempt to fill the gaps where information isn’t quite official just yet.

LATEST – No Teasers! Downtime Confirmed

While no official teases have come, we now know exactly when Chapter 3 Season 2 will be starting.

The downtime will begin at 3am ET/7am GMT on. March 20, as expected. The downtime will last a few hours, with the content going live later in the morning.

Fortnite Update 20.00 Release Date & Time

Fortnite Update 20.00 is due to arrive on Sunday, 20 March. Chapter 3, Season 1 will end the day before on Saturday, 19 March and there is expected to be some extended downtime while the new content is uploaded.

There is currently no event planned to end the season but there’s every possibility that something unexpected may happen over the weekend. The lack of an officially scheduled event has led to a split in the community. Some are excited for the prospects of a surprise while others are feeling rather deflated.

What to expect

As with any Fortnite Update that brings a whole new season, we can expect a ton of new content to be revealed. The map may receive an update based on the story events where the IO are slowly starting to take over the island once again.

We’ll also receive a new Battle Pass with over 100 pieces of new content including some new licenced content (if previous ones are anything to go by).

The rumours of season 2 being Star Wars themed have died down in recent weeks but if we see any more content added during Fortnite Update 20.00, it will surely reignite the belief that we’re in for something special soon.

All in all, whatever gets added during the update will surely give us plenty of reasons to be excited for the duration of season 2.
