fer to make return with Imperial

Date:

Former SK and MIBR member Fernando “fer” Alvarenga is set to return to action as he will step in for Imperial, the Brazilian organisation has announced. The 29-year-old will replace Guilherme “piriaz1n” Barbosa, who has been temporarily moved to the bench while Imperial investigate a potential VAC-banned account owned by the player.

fer will travel to Mexico with the team to compete in the open qualifiers for cs_summit 8, which will kick off on May 1. According to ge, he will remain with Imperial at least through IEM Summer, scheduled for June 3-13.

fer will be a stand-in for Imperial, replacing piriaz1n

fer has been without a team since September, when he and Epitacio “TACO” de Melo were removed from MIBR‘s starting lineup by the organisation after a run of poor results. In December, he helped BOOM to win the FlowFiReLEAGUE 2020 Global Finals in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but he decided against joining the squad, which ended up signing with MIBR.

The move would have seen fer reunite with Caio “zqkS” Fonseca, whom he previously played alongside in Keyd and KaBuM from 2014-2015; however, zqkS was denied entrance to Mexico and forced to return to Brazil, leaving the team with only four players in their cs_summit 8 qualifier campaign.

Imperial will compete in their following tournaments with:

Brazil Gustavo “SHOOWTiME” Gonçalves
Brazil Arthur “f4stzin” Schmitt
Brazil Cristopher “ckzao” Chalus
Brazil Fernando “fer” Alvarenga (stand-in)
