Ex6TenZ reveals hand injury at Stage 2 Challengers 1

Date:

After a Ninjas in Pajams win against Acend at Stage 2 Challengers 1 on April 6, Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans said in the post-game interview that he has experienced some pain in his hand that prevented him from practicing with his team. The Belgian in-game leader and his squad took the series 2-1 over the Masters 1 champions. He revealed that his team was not confident going into the first map, Haven. Ex6tenz’s hand injury prevented the team from practicing the map going into the match.

“We had some bad practice,” Ex6TenZ said. “I had some pain in my hand something close to tendonitis or whatever,”

The Counter Strike veteran said that the injury did not affect him in this particular game. The official match setting gave him the adrenaline to dull the pain, but it will return in practice.

“I think it’s nothing big, but I have to fix it,” Ex6TenZ said.

He went on to say that he believes he will fix the tension in his hand in around two weeks. Ex6tenz’s hand injury does not appear to be too concerning. He said that his hand should be ready for competition in the future.

Ex6TenZ history

The Counter Strike veteran has been a competitor since 2005 and will turn 30 later this month. In that tenured career, this is the first time that he has mentioned an injury of any kind. Ex6TenZ is a known IGL from the French Counter Strike community and has led many of the French organizations. He started his career in Counter Strike: Source on teams like Epsilon eSports and VeryGames before jumping into Counter Strike: Global offensive.

In CS:GO he played for G2 Esports, Titan and Team LDLC. In his transition to VALORANT, the veteran changed his in-game name to akukhoS for a time. He said that the name change was to drop his old legacy from Counter Strike and come into the new game as a different player.

He linked up with NiP in December of 2020 and helped the squad to Masters qualifications. Now, he and his team will compete on April 8 against Guild Esports in the Semi Finals of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 2 Challengers 1 tournament.
