Euan Allen, a PhD graduate of the Quantum Engineering CDT and member of QET Labs,has been successfully awarded a 2-year EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship. The EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship scheme is a unique and exciting opportunity for recent EPSRC-funded PhD graduates to launch their research career in a supportive environment at the University of Bristol.
Euan said “I’m very pleased to be given the opportunity to start my own research projects and I can’t wait to get started. Having the freedom to collaborate within the School of Physics, the university, and beyond is something that I am very much looking forward to. ”
The fellowship is supported by Dr. Jonathan Matthews and covers experiments in silicon photonics as a specialised hardware platform for optical neural networks. Euan begins his fellowship August 1st.
