ENCE complete hades signing as allu’s future remains unclear

Date:

ENCE have completed the signing of Olek “hades” Miskiewicz on a free transfer, the Finnish organisation announced on Thursday. The former AVEZ and Wisla Krakow player will replace Aleksi “allu” Jalli, whose break from Counter-Strike will extend into the summer as he continues to evaluate his options.

hades, 21, has impressed for ENCE since stepping in for allu last month after the Finnish AWPer decided to take a leave of absence for personal reasons. He has averaged a 1.26 rating for the team, playing a crucial role in their LOOT.BET Season 9 victory.

“It has been just over a month now with hades as a stand-in, which is a long time in the competitive environment,” team coach Eetu “sAw” Saha said. “With more and more officials coming up, it’s good to make a decision about the roster.

“Things have been looking good with hades, and from the beginning, it just felt that everything clicked both inside and outside of the game. It is a great pleasure to welcome hades into ENCE and to start working even harder together!”

ENCE have released a tribute video for allu, who returned to the organisation for a third stint in 2018. He was an integral part of the team’s second-place finish at the IEM Katowice 2019 Major and in the victory at BLAST Pro Series Madrid, later that year.

He came under fire from former teammates for his role in that team’s downfall but was kept on the roster and tasked with leading a new, international lineup after expressing a willingness to improve as a person. But only four months later, he decided to take a step back from competitive Counter-Strike for an indefinite period of time, revealing that the “hectic years with minimal break” had led him to be “extremely drained and fatigued, inside and outside the server.”

“This is a day that brings me a lot of different emotions when thinking back,” allu said on Thursday. “The past three years feel like they’ve gone past so quickly. So many things have happened, both good and not so good. But I want to cherish the positives.

“It has been an honor to bring a Finnish organization to the top and to have achieved so much here. Particularly because of all the people I’ve had the chance to do it with, both players and everyone behind the scenes.

“I would like to thank all my past teammates, especially my former coach Twista and of course everyone at ENCE. The biggest thank you goes to all the fans, who have been with us through thick and thin. I’m eager to see what the future holds and where it takes me.”
