Emirates and Air Canada made the start of their codeshare agreement official. Through their collaboration, the carriers’ customers will be able to travel conveniently to 46 markets across three continents, including those in America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.

Beginning on December 1 for travel, codeshare tickets will be made available for purchase to 35 destinations, with the inclusion of 11 additional locations, possibly later, pending final regulatory approval. The websites of the airlines, aircanada.com and emirates.com, as well as key GDS systems and travel firms, all offer ticketing services.
Emirates Booking Destinations
Beyond Toronto, Emirates customers who want to book codeshare flights will have access to Canadian cities like Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver. When travelling to destinations in the Middle East like Jeddah and Muscat, Southeast Asian cities like Bangkok, Hanoi, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, as well as African cities like Addis Abeba and Dar es Salaam, customers of Air Canada will also profit from seamless connectivity.

A reciprocal frequent flyer programme will soon be made available by the airlines, allowing members of Aeroplan and Skywards to earn and utilise points on flights operated by Emirates and Air Canada, respectively. In the near future, qualified travellers will also be able to take advantage of reciprocal lounge access as well as unique benefits for Aeroplan Elite and Skywards members while travelling with the partner airline.
