Emeritus, the online learning platform that offers high-quality education to individuals, companies, and governments around the world, is all set to hire over 1,000 team members, of which at least 500 instructional designers will be hired this year itself. It has launched a unique Instructional Design Academy in the country amidst rapid growth.
Quite recently, the platform which has witnessed 100 per cent year-on-year growth, received $650 million in a Series E funding round. It will use the funds to double the number of courses in its worldwide portfolio and expand its team. As it scales rapidly, it is on the lookout for instructional designers and top talent to join its team.

The Instructional Design Academy was created as a training programme, to cultivate talent and create career opportunities. Applicants have to pass a basic online aptitude test first. Upon completion of the free four-week intensive programme — comprising 100 sessions requiring eight hours a day — they are offered an opportunity to work at Emeritus. The trainees are also given a stipend.
The ID Academy offers career opportunities to anyone who is interested, irrespective of age, qualifications, background or experience. Even college graduates, mothers returning to work, media professionals, and experienced professionals who are jobless due to Covid-19, may apply.
The training and professional guidance will be given by Emeritus industry experts. Participants will learn first hand, about the job expectations and culture in the e-learning field.
The aim of the ID Academy is to bridge the gap between those who want to join the online learning revolution and the dearth of professional training available in India.
