Elmapuddy, Cloud9 part ways

Date:

The 25-year-old is open to opportunities in both CS:GO and VALORANT.

Chris “Elmapuddy” Tebbit is no longer contracted to Cloud9 and is free to explore his options, it has been announced. The Australian coach arrived on Cloud9 in January following the departure of Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović but was only part of the lineup for two months before the organisation put their Counter-Strike division on hold and made all players available for transfer.

Cloud9 are now left with only Patrick “es3tag” Hansen still under contract following the lateral move of Erick “Xeppaa” Bach and Ricky “floppy” Kemery to the organisation’s VALORANT division, and the release of their remaining members.

Elmapuddy’s time with Cloud9 has come to an end

The departure of the 25-year-old Australian marks the end of his second tenure with Cloud9, having previously spent a short period with the organisation’s previous squad, led by Damian “daps” Steele, before their move to Gen.G.

Despite finding limited success with Cloud9‘s European project, Elmapuddy previously coached Gen.G to a win at DreamHack Open Anaheim, one of the last notable LAN events to take place, as well as a first-place finish in the first North American Regional Major Ranking (RMR) event of 2020, ESL One: Road to Rio.
