Doublelift joins with old Cloud9 roster for Tyler1 Money Match

Date:

Popular streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp is back with another money match event that will feature some prominent names in a battle for thousands of dollars.

It will likely be a big event when the next Tyler1 Money Match kicks off on April 21 with tons of former LCS stars. One of the teams will consist of none other than former TSM bot laner Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, who will join up with most of the original Cloud9 roster that dominated the LCS between 2013 and 2014.

Doublelift’s team will all consist of former North American legends that haven’t played actively this split. Doublelift himself will take the support role, while Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi will be the team’s bot laner after over a year spent away from professional play. In the mid lane will be Hai “Hai” Lam, who has been a regular part of the LCS broadcast this split as an analyst.

As the team’s top and jungle duo are  An “Balls” Le and William “Meteos” Hartman, who were known for being among of the strongest North American players in their roles back during Cloud9’s prime. Meteos is the only player who isn’t officially retired just yet, though he hasn’t played actively on a pro team since the 2020 summer split. Balls has been retired since 2017.

Doublelift’s money match team roster:

  • Top – An “Balls” Le
  • Jungle – William “Meteos” Hartman
  • Mid – Hai “Hai” Lam
  • Bot – Zachary “Sneaky” Schuderi
  • Support – Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng

The money match will take place later this month and will have $5,000 on the line. The last money match happened just a few weeks ago when junglers and streamers Julian “Tarzaned” Farokhian and Rabia “Nightblue3” Yazbek clashed against each other with their own teams. It was a best-of-five that Team Tarzaned ultimately won 3-1.

The Tyler1 Money Match kicks off on April 21.

Is Doublelift still with TSM?

Doublelift is still with TSM in 2021, but not as an active player. After retiring after the 2020 World Championship, Doublelift re-signed with TSM, but this time as a full-time streamer. Doublelift has been streaming in 2021 and has been actively co-streaming the LCS, garnering some huge viewership numbers.
