Diablo 2 Remake Works With Your Original Game Saves

If you’ve played the original Diablo 2, and you have a save file from it, then hang on it. According to a new interview with the developers of the upcoming remaster Diablo II: Resurrected, you will be able to use your old save files with the new game when it releases sometime later this year.

The detail was revealed at the very end of an interview IGN Middle East did with Andre Abrahamian and Matthew Cederquist, a designer and producer, respectively, on Resurrected. The final question in the interview was, “Can we import original save files into Diablo 2: Resurrected?” Cederquist responded, “Yes! Yes, keep those!” to the joy of everyone present.

Cederquist elaborated in the interview: “Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work and we kind of shoved it in and it worked! And we were like, ‘okay, that’s the best feature ever’. So yes, your local single-player save files will carry over.” This makes sense, considering the game is supposed to be identical to the original underneath the next-gen glow-up. Rod Fergusson, the executive producer of the franchise, told Polygon, “We’re not reverse-engineering it; we’re not rebuilding it… This is [Diablo 2]…. It’s right there, underneath the surface.” You can even press a button and the game will revert to the original Diablo II graphics.

It’s actually a bit surprising that this came out so casually in an interview. After all, the remaster’s promotional footage from BlizzCon was steeped in nostalgia, aimed clearly at the fans of the original, and Blizzard officials were talking up how faithful the remaster was to the original game. You’d think they’d want to toss this in, even just as an, “Oh, and one more thing…” gag at the end of the show. Talk about burying the lede.

Popular Twitch streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel has once again been banned from the NoPixel GTA RP server on April 18th, making this his fourth ban from the same server.

This recent ban comes less than a week since his return from his third ban from the NoPixel server on April 12th.

Why did xQc get banned again?

In his Twitch stream, the 25-year-old has explained multiple reasons behind his latest ban from the server. He has claimed that the reasons behind his ban include talking about other players’ bans when being arrested, dropping a gun when he’s already dead, and abusing vehicle scuff, which goes in violations against the server rules.

Lengyel’s ban from the NoPixel GTA RP server is set to last for a whopping 30 days, making it the longest ban he has received so far. He has further claimed that he will not appeal against the ban.

Chances are, that even after the expiration of his ban, he won’t be returning to the server anytime soon.

While speaking about his fourth ban, xQc hinted that there might be a possible bias against him. “I feel good because I made my case that there’s something against me, so I’m happy about it,” the Twitch star said.

The Best co-op games to tryout in 2021

Avatar

For anyone looking to enjoy some great Co-op games with friends fret not as we are here to help you in choosing some great Co-op games. It doesn’t matter if you are visiting a friend’s house or just joining each other in an online lobby, the games below will offer the best Co-op experience to you and your friends.

1. It Takes Two (Available on- PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC)

A brand new entry into the list. It Takes Two works on the similar formula of the previous title “A Way Out” from the same Developer, Hazelight Studios.

The story follows a struggling couple as they deal with their shortcomings, which might result in a divorce. The couple – Cody and May, are turned into miniature knitted dolls after the couple’s daughter cries on dolls turning them into dolls by a magic spell. From there, it’s up to you and a teammate to navigate through a fantastical world where the unpredictable hides around every corner, clear challenges to make your way back to the house, and in the process hopefully, save their fractured relationship.

Improving upon the same split-screen co-op formula from previous titles, It Takes Two truly stands out from others in the same genre. It Takes Two is a perfect Co-op experience for two and offers a very powerful story and gameplay experience.

2. Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise (Available on- PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Monster Hunter Rise only on Nintendo Switch)

Another great Co-op experience set on a large open-world map. Group up with other hunters or friends through local co-op or online co-op and set foot in the wild map of Monster Hunter. Combine attacks and abilities to deal as much damage as possible and take down challenging monsters spread across the map to earn rewards and materials.

Now also available on Nintendo Switch in form of Monster Hunter Rise, the franchise is now available on every modern platform.

3. Phasmophobia (Available on- PC)

The first and the only game that we recommend playing in VR mode with friends. Phasmophobia is another indie game that gained the much-needed spotlight due to the pandemic. Although Phasmophobia is a Horror game with ghost hunting as its main focus, while playing in VR it becomes more of a horror-comedy.

Team up with 3 other ghost hunters and use your ghost hunting techs such as cameras, UV flashlights, thermometers, and more to find and track a ghost. Your objective is to gather evidence to pin down what type of ghost is haunting the place while remaining alert about ghost behaviors and hunts.

4. Among Us (Available on- Android, iOS, PC, Switch, and soon on- Xbox platform)

Definitely, the hidden gem of an Indie game that exploded in popularity during pandemic induced lockdowns and quickly peaked on every chart. From an avg of 500-700 players in 2018, the game peaked with nearly 500,000 players in 2020.

The game puts you on a ship with 9 other players with at least one or two imposters out on a task to kill every crewmate and win the game. As a crewmate, you have to complete different tasks around the ship as fast as possible before imposters slaughter the majority of the crew. Imposter can sabotage the ship’s reactors and lights to slow crew movement, while the crew can report a body or press the call button to have an emergency meeting to vote out possible imposters.

Among Us is free on Android and iOS, and costs only $5 on PC and Switch. The game supports crossplay between these platforms and allows you to team up and play with your friends on any platform.

5. Destiny 2 (Available on- PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC)

destiny 2 server maintenance

Another open-world game to enjoy with friends. While Destiny 2 is a Free-2-Play game, only the base game with previously released DLCs before Forsaken DLC is available for players to enjoy for free. Destiny 2 is one of the most unique games in the Looter Shooter genre. The game is an Open World action MMO with a single evolving world. The game offers different game modes like PVP, PVPVE, and PVE each of which can be played with friends in a lobby.

Also, Destiny 2 offers cross-platform support with features such as cross-play and cross-save available for free. Destiny 2 offers one of the most polished online AAA experiences available with a little bit of everything: An epic story, intense gameplay moments, and an endless hunt for better and cooler-looking armor or gun. It is a fun and chill co-op experience for you and your friends to wind down after a long day.

6. Grand Theft Auto Online (Available on-  PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series X, PS5)

gta online prime gaming

One of the oldest game on the list which to this day is extremely popular. Even seven years after its launch, the game’s concurrent player population is at an all-time high.

With Rockstar’s constant support of new content and gameplay improvements, the game still feels and rocks shockingly good. GTA Online takes the GTA V and puts it online in an open-world sandbox. Join up with your friends and complete missions throughout the large state of San Andreas.

The Similarities Between Day Trading and Gambling

Avatar

Published

on

Most stock traders hate being compared to the gamblers in Las Vegas. However, there are a lot of similarities between gambling and day trading. Understanding these similarities will help you excel in any of the fields you’d like to specialize in. Trading is all about generating cash flows for an enterprise. You shouldn’t confuse it with long-term investment. Understanding how gambling works will help you understand the art of day trading. Therefore, whether you are a day trader or a gambler, this article is for you. Here is how gambling and day trading are similar to each other.

Probability and Odds

The first thing that you should keep in mind is that you’re always dealing with probabilities and odds. Regardless of the conditions in the market, you can always find a favorable situation in aspects like currency exchange. A weak commodity market will improve your odds. However, you won’t be guaranteed huge returns despite the market imbalance.

If you’ve ever walked into a casino or visited no deposit bingo sites in UK and exchanged cash for chips at the tables, you are familiar with the idea of putting your money on the line to cover accommodations and travel costs. Of course, all the casinos and facilities available at Las Vegas weren’t built by winners or skilled new players. Online gambling sites will always ensure that the odds favor them. To become a successful trader, you’ll need to learn how to have the odds in your favor. Having the odds in your favor requires skill.

Having the odds in your favor

Some people consider gambling to be a profitable business while others, a risky activity. The same applies to day trading. To win loads of cash in both fields, you need to have the right system, tip, or an inside trick. The more people gamble or trade, the more they lose money. How can you put the odds in your favor?

You need to be the house

Every casino cannot offer a game if the odds aren’t in their favor. The same principle is the same for day traders. You need to take trades that have the highest odds to make profits. Casinos have built value by having minimum and maximum amounts in betting. Without these requirements in place, some gamblers would place extremely low wagers. And the effort wouldn’t be worth it. However, if a player goes home with one million dollars, it can be devastating for the casino because it might end up wiping out other profits.

Casinos cap bet sizes to limit such devastations. Day traders should never rely too much on one transaction regardless of how confident they feel. There’s always a risk that the trade won’t favor you. You need to mitigate this risk to succeed. As an avid gambler, you probably know what bankroll management is. In day trading, it is called capital preservation. Your goal should be to leverage favorable opportunities. You shouldn’t rely on one transaction only. Otherwise, you’ll be in danger of going bankrupt. Casinos do whatever they can to maximize their revenue and profitability. When they offer bonuses and stay open every day, they keep fattening their wallets. As a day trader, you need to focus on lots of transactions to improve your value.

The day trader vs the gambler

How is the average day trader similar to the gambler in Las Vegas? You now know that casinos only participate in areas that are advantageous to them. Successful day traders tend to focus on a few trades that have a high potential. A disciplined day trader focuses on protecting their seed capital to have an edge over their competitors. The casino emphasizes profitability by staying open every day.

Conclusion

Is gambling day trading or vice versa? The answer is no. However, the two have a lot of similarities. To make money in both areas, you need to be skillful. Just like casinos, you need to focus on activities that generate revenue and profits while protecting your seed capital. Risk management is key if you are to succeed in these fields. To trade successfully, you need to focus on a few trades that have an edge and low volatility. Finally, you need to be disciplined in the long run. Small profits over a long period are way better than losing everything including your seed capital.

BMW Esports creates ‘Heroes of Rivalry’ manga, presents OG Esports as new partner

BMW Esports, the esports division of german automotive company BMW, has unveiled ‘Heroes Of Rivalry’, a manga series featuring its United in Rivalry team partners.

BMW Esports’s United in Rivalry partners include Cloud 9, FNATIC, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports and T1. However, the announcement also revealed that European organisation OG Esports has been announced as its latest addition.

OG Esports, well known for its time in Dota 2, is BMW’s first United in Rivalry partner that isn’t a League of Legends-focused organisation.

JMR Luna, CEO of OG Esports, commented: “I grew up with a poster of a BMW motorcycle on my wall… Many years later… being able to work with them, it’s a dream come true,”

“BMW is a wonderful brand and company, and they entered Esports partnering with five of the biggest esports organisations in the world and it is an honour for us to be part of this prestigious group now. Once again thank you to our fans for continuing to believe and support us, and OG and BMW will now work hard to bring many more incredible moments to you all.”

The initiative will feature all teams together in a manga series illustrated by Japanese artist Acky Bright, with the concept and storyline coming from German agency Jung von Matt.

The manga will display the organisation’s professional players in an Isekai scenario, which is a genre of manga where real-world characters are dragged into a fantasy world. The preface is that the players, generally facing each other as rivals in matches, will be ‘United in Rivalry’ to achieve their goal.

“The superheroes in our manga not only develop great power in their adventure, but they also inspire the imagination of every single person,” added Stefan Ponikva, Vice President Brand Experience BMW. “There is something magical about manga; it touches peoples’ hearts. That is the crux of the matter. Manga follows our goal of wrapping brand messages in emotions – with great finesse for images, language and symbols – and entertaining people. In pop culture like the esports scene, this is far more effective than another display ad.

“Through manga, we are communicating on the same wavelength with a target group that does not actually respond positively to advertising, and we are there, where they are – on their mobile devices.”

United in Rivalry was an initiative set up by BMW in April 2020 to promote esports and gaming culture. The project saw BMW announce partnerships with five esports organisations.

Esports Insider says: BMW’s idea of mixing manga with esports it’s an unexpected but nice approach. Manga and esports have a lot of crossover appeal, even if the fans themselves don’t consume it. Plus, having a well-known artist behind the project showcases the commitment of BMW Esports in delivering a top tier experience for fans.
