Hopkins Herstellung, ein Portfoliounternehmen von ONCAP since June 2011, has acquired the retail automotive splash guard product lines of NuVue-Produkte.
The acquired product lines include brand names RoadSport, Big Mudder, ProFit, BadgeZ, RoadGuard, and Defender Tow Guard; and the inventory, patents, and intellectual property of NuVue’s splash guard and mud flap lines.
Hopkins is a designer and manufacturer of more than 5,000 SKUs of branded products for the automotive aftermarket. The company’s products are organized under five broad categories including towing electrical, vehicle accessories, winter care, fluid management and automotive cleaning, and are sold through the auto retail, mass merchant, auto wholesale, e-commerce, and warehouse club channels. Hopkins is headquartered 90 miles northeast of Wichita in Emporia, Kansas.
The buy of NueVue’s splash guard product line follows its February 2020 acquisition of the automotive-related product lines of Loxcreen Canada, Eine Tochtergesellschaft von MD-Bauprodukte. The acquired assets – sold under the PolarGrip, Topsi, Eskimo, and Essentia brand names – include winter ice scrapers and snow brushes; vehicle cleaning products; and automotive, window and floor squeegees.
Hopkins, led by CEO Bradley Kraft, is headquartered 90 miles northeast of Wichita in Emporia, Kansas, and has manufacturing and distribution facilities in Kansas, Oklahoma, Canada, and Mexico. The manufacturing of the acquired products will be integrated into Hopkins’ Emporia, Kansas facility.
“These market-leading splash guard and mud flap products are a nice addition to our offering and grows our position in vehicle accessories,” said Mr. Kraft. “This addition expands our ability to provide our existing customers and new customers with the broadest line of automotive accessory products in the United States and Canada.”
NuVue is a manufacturer and marketer of home and garden, and automotive products with facilities in Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Ontario.
