Copenhagen Flames shutdown FaZe; Gambit go the distance to beat Virtus.pro

Copenhagen Flames have dismantled FaZe on Ancient thanks to a monster performance from Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen, while Gambit and Virtus.pro had an all out brawl on Vertigo that ended in a 16-14 win for Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov‘s side.

FaZe failed to deliver in their match despite Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken‘s best attempts to keep the map competitive. Virtus.pro pulled ahead to 14 rounds first but Gambit showed grit to remain in the map as Hobbit finished with 39 kills and a 16-14.

roeJ topped the board with a 1.89 rating on Ancient

The first couple rounds went the way of FaZe on Ancient with Twistzz and Helvijs “broky” Saukants managing to win a 2v4 on the pistol. Early signs of weakness began to show for FaZe as they struggled to convincingly win rounds. Twistzz and roeJ faced off on the scoreboard as each player led their squad at the end of the first half.

Copenhagen Flames led at the half with nine rounds but roeJ and Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi were the final nail in the coffin for FaZe who failed to secure themselves a single round in the second half.

Vertigo went back and forward between Virtus.pro and Gambit. After winning the first pistol, Virtus.pro were fast to reply with rounds of their own. Hobbit quietly found 20 kills in the first half which ended in his sides favour 8-7.

Virtus.pro quickly put 14 rounds on the board in the second half but could not manage to keep a lid on Gambit who clawed it back in their favour, taking the map 16-14 and avoiding any overtime. Despite the close score, no players on Virtus.pro finished the map with a rating above 0.9 and ultimately failed to close out the map in time.
