Skydance Interactive launched The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners at the beginning of the year, giving fans of the franchise a decent dose of zombie survival horror set within New Orleans. Then last month the studio achieved something remarkable, getting the entire experience onto Oculus Quest. So with the title available on most VR platforms, VRFocus has some game codes to giveaway.
Whilst The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is based in the walker-filled universe it has no relation to the TV show (you’ll need The Walking Dead Onslaught for that). Skydance Interactive teamed up with Skybound Entertainment for the project, with an original storyline taking you through the flooded streets of the Big Easy.
Survival is the main gameplay loop here, where you have a limited time frame to head to a location and scope it out for useful resources. These can then be taken back to the main hub to craft into food, ammo, new weapons and upgrades to improve those chances of not dying.
At the same time the campaign is based around the survivors still managing to live amongst the chaos. This does mean that you’ll come across friendly locals looking for help as well as more hostile groups carving out their own territory. So not only do you have walkers to worry about, humans also pose a threat.
