China’s Largest Carrier, China Southern Operates World’s 1st Passenger Airbus A319neo Flight

Date:

China’s Largest China Southern, China’s largest Airline, operated World’ first Passenger Airbus A319neo flight on March 9.

The first flight

The A319neo is a plane that few people have ever seen. So it’s worth noting when a plane like this takes to the sky for the first time in a commercial, passenger-carrying capacity. Last month, China Southern acquired its first A319neo, and commercial operations were scheduled to begin soon. That’s exactly what happened on March 9th, when the plane took off as flight CZ3403 from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) for Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU). The plane took off at 7:32 a.m., seven minutes after its scheduled departure time of 7:25 a.m., according to Flightradar24. It arrived in Chengdu at 9:36 a.m., significantly ahead of its projected arrival time of 10 a.m., after completing the voyage in 2 hours and 5 minutes. The aeroplane (marked as B-328C) was ready for its return trip to Guangzhou after roughly an hour and a half, departing at 11:07 a.m. Being an A319neo is probably not easy. The plane finds itself as an unwelcome member of a successful family of overachievers. Because it shares 95% of its DNA with the A320 family, it was hoped that it would help to promote the family name in the same manner as the A320neo and A321neo did.
