Alberto Mundet leads Barça Innovation Hub, a strategic project that aims to leverage FC Barcelona’s know-how to rethink the future of the sports industry. A Fulbright Fellow, Albert has a multidisciplinary background and can draw on extensive experience in research and innovation management. He’s a strong advocate for a user-centric approach when developing and implementing new technologies and a keen sports fan. Barça Innovation Hub promotes research & innovation under an open and collaborative culture. It works in close collaboration with leading brands, universities, research centres, and startups from around the world. FC Barcelona is a world-famous and globally beloved sports brand, through the hub, it is at the centre of sports innovation, and we are looking forward to hearing Albert’s expert inside knowledge.
Gerd Weiner is the Founder and CEO of B1 SmartTV GmbH. Since 2018, the company has been focusing on the development of smart TV solutions and the convergence of smart TV and smartphone networking. In partnership with the global leader in consumer electronics and smartphones, he developed the sports aggregation platform, Sportworld – which is now available on millions of Samsung smart TVs and Android and iOS smartphones in Germany. Since 2021, more than 100 sports events have been streamed using patented multi-view technology. Gerd leverages over 30 years of expertise from notable consumer electronics companies such as Samsung, Loewe, and Thomson, and we can’t wait to hear his insights.
