Carrefour and Everli to deliver in France

Date:

Carrefour, the French supermarket group, is partnering with online grocery marketplace Everli to deliver in their home country France. The companies previously launched partnerships in Italy and Poland. Both brands are also looking to cover future international markets together.

Everli is an online grocery marketplace from Italy. The company is growing fast and is already a delivery partner for large supermarket brands like Lidl and Kaufland. Customers can order for same-day delivery on the platform with their supermarket of choice.

Same-day delivery across France

French customers will have access to 20.000 products, the companies say, including fresh food departments like the bakery, butchers and cheeses. Shoppers can receive items same-day within a one-hour time slot of their choice.

With Everli, the supermarket group can ship across the country.

Carrefour already delivers same-day with its inhouse service in Lyon and Paris. With Everli’s delivery network, the supermarket group will be able to ship across the country. The online marketplace already operates in ten French cities such as Nice, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Rennes and their neighboring suburbs.

Expansion plans

Everli plans on expanding to more French cities in 2022. The collaboration will also provide Everli access to Carrefour’s technology, like Carrefour Links, with extended possibilities for personalized marketing.

CEO Frederico Sargenti of Everli comments: “As a favourite among French consumers, partnering with Carrefour means we can bring customers more of what they love as we expand across France, including larger baskets for families who want to do the full weekly shop.”

The partnership also covers expansion to future international markets.

The partnership also covers expansion to future international markets, according to the press release. Everli previously entered Poland and already announced a launch in Germany and Romania for 2022.

Doubling down on instant delivery

Carrefour only recently invested in Cajoo, another instant-delivery service in France, and already works with Uber Eats. The grocery brand seems to double down on their instant delivery options.

“France was a logical next step.”

Elodie Perthuisot, Executive director E-commerce, Data and Digital Transformation of Carrefour Group says: “This agreement with Everli demonstrates our agility in testing complementary and differentiating services for our customers.” She adds: “After Italy and Poland, France, our main country, was a logical next step in offering this service to our customers.”
