Can you play Diablo II: Resurrected offline? Current players may not remember this, but games used to be played offline all the time. Sometimes games had certain features or ways for players to connect and play, most of them were through LAN connections. But as technology has advanced, things have clearly changed. Now, everything is done online, allowing for Cloud saves and the ability to play with anyone.
But Diablo II: Resurrected is different as it’s a remake of an old game. So Blizzard has decided to appease everyone.

Players can play Diablo II: Resurrected offline. allowing them to enjoy the game as it once was, and this couldn’t come at a better time since servers are down. While that won’t last for too much longer, fans have the ability to play Diablo even if there continues to be server problems.
You do have to create a separate character for the offline mode, so you’ll have to start over and you can’t carry your progression over from one character to the other.
